So although this blog will focus mainly on my interest in various timepieces (which could be incredible boring) the overarching theme will always be desire. That is what has led me here and what leads many us through the daily grinder of crappy jobs and difficult relationships. For me the small piece of metal strapped to my left arm gives me a connection to a host of different feelings and desires and is more than a mere object, it is the object that has led me here.

So what is it that makes some us train our energy and desires on these objects? What makes up our desires, what breeds our attraction to these small mechanical masterpieces? Why do some people pay thousands of dollars for something that can easily be replaced by a similar object worth pennies in comparison (and is often far more accurate)? What makes a collector collect? Desire.

Others that have the same desire or other insights will hopefully respond (without to many jackass comments) to help build on this on-going study in the desire of objects. I look forward to your words and photos. Although my focus will often be whatever is hanging off my left arm I hope to see and hear of yours no matter where they lead. So here are some of objects that I desire.

Enjoy.
